Welcome to homepage of The Matrix Trilogy Screensaver.
The Matrix Trilogy Screensaver project aims to become the best
the matrix code simulation freely available. Check the latest
version to see for yourself.
Unfortunately, no one can be told what The Matrix Trilogy
Screensaver is capable of. You have to see it for yourself.
REQUIREMENTS
- Microsoft® Windows® 98 Operating System or later
Tested successfully on Windows 2000, XP and 2003 Server.
- Graphics card driver with support of and fully conformant with OpenGL 1.1
Although the screensaver may run on some old "miniGL" drivers,
at least the nVidia GeForce2 or ATI Radeon 7200 is recommended.
- Optional: Stereo sound card
If you wish to enjoy the sound of falling characters.
- Optional: Internet connection
So you can visit this website, check for and download latest versions.

HINTS
Play with the settings
The screensaver has many interesting settings and effects that are
turned off by default. These effects will make your screensaver to look
much better.
Try to:
- Change base and accent colors
- Modify code appearance in some way
- Enable incoming text effect
- Enable all special effects and invoke them by keyboard
You will soon get into it and will be able to have the screensaver
looking exactly as you wished to.

FAQ
Why is the screensaver so slow (< 2fps)
Well, the screensaver draws the smoothly animated code (you can see
it, if you set really low speed). To do this, it must redraw the
screen many times per second. To do this fast, it uses accelerated
graphics via OpenGL.
If your computer performance is not enough for smooth animation,
try to reduce screen resolution, number of characters on the screen,
uncheck the "Reduce hardware usage" checkbox or try
to turn off any other expensive options.
Also make sure you have installed latest graphic card drivers.
I saved my screen resolution into a preset but it don't work
Actually none of the options from the "Properties" page
get saved into presets. This is because it is not good idea to force
your screen resolution and screensaver program behavior to other
people.
What does the <insert option name> option does?
You can either try to change the option and check what has changed
or you can hover the mouse cursor over the control and wait for
help tooltip to appear. If there is no meaningful description in
that tooltip it means that we haven't written it yet. Then you can
ask via e-mail.
I have installed the screensaver and it crashes.
Please report any problems with the screensaver to us via e-mail.
Include description of the problem and some basic info about your
computer.
I would like to contribute.
This is nice and we appreciate it. But The Matrix Trilogy Screensaver
is freeware project and we cannot give you any money for you work.
We are looking for someone to:
- Maintain this website (updating, correcting).
- Write and correct hints and making the screensaver more English-friendly.
- Translate the screensaver into other languages.
But any offer will be considered...
